THE BOMBAY CONNECTION REMIX LP

LP Release: expected in december 2006

For THE BOMBAY CONNECTION REMIX LP we have asked some of the cutting edge Dutch artists to create their vision on the funky grooves that we compile in our series. We've been honoured to get very positive reactions on our project and are even more delighted about the fact that so many artists were inspired to do a remix or remake of these songs. Meanwhile the project has grown from a modest 12" inch project towards a full fledged remix LP with 6 or 7 tracks. Among others the LP will contain:

Kraak & Smaak's thumping vision on YE JAWANI HAI from Heeron Ka Chor

The Easy Aloha's remake of  R.D. Burman's THE BURNING TRAIN

Git Hyper's funky dance version of Kya Jane Yeh Duniya Kya Jane from TOOTE KILONE

Gerry Arling's take on R.D.'s MAIN HOON LILLY from BOND 303

DJ JOHANZ's redoing of ANJANE MEIN's cabaret music

C-MON & KYPSKI's take on....??

and the dark, intoxicating hip hop take of TRULY PHEASANT recycling each and every track on the first two volumes.

Funk Soul Surprise: the NYC based BUDOS BAND, featuring members of SHARON JONES & THE DAPKINGS and THE DAKTARIS have  taken two of the Bombay Connection songs into their repetoire, one of which we hope to feature on the LP.
